VYPE spoke with Mannford’s Ryan Owens to discuss who he is on and off the track.
VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?
RO: I want to improve my time in the 400 because that’s my main race.
VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?
RO: Every track meet was fun I was always enjoying my teammates and opponents.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade, and why?
RO: Coach Reed is my track coach and he has worked with me alot he inspires me.
VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?
RO: When I won my very first open 400 I was so happy.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
RO: My older brother Phillip owens he has showed me how to be great and imma keep working with
him.
VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?
RO: We are family we always build each other up.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go, and who do you take with you?
RO: Probably Hawaii because I like the ocean and I haven’t been there I would take my family for sure then my boys.
VYPE: If we gave you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?
RO: Honestly I would save it but if I have to spend it probably on food clothes gas and go somewhere with my friends.
