VYPE: Mason, when did you start running track and what events will you compete in this season?
Harvey: I started running track my sophomore year, I run the 800-meters, 4×800 relay, and 4×400 relay.
VYPE: Do you play any other sports at MHS?
Harvey: I also play basketball.
VYPE: Who are a couple of teammates we should watch this season?
Harvey: Adam Mendenhall and Cameron Rodriguez is someone you should have your eye on.
VYPE: What’s your favorite memory while competing for MHS?
Harvey: I have many memories as being a student-athlete at Mannford, but my favorite is going to have to be going to state with the 4×800 team my sophomore year.
VYPE: What teammate keeps everyone laughing and who is the most serious person on the team?
Harvey: JJ Hinsman keeps everyone laughing and Ryan Owens makes sure we’re ready.
VYPE: Do you have a favorite sport figure or person you look up to?
Harvey: Lebron James is my favorite sports athlete.
VYPE: Who has been a big influence in your life?
Harvey: My mom and dad has played a huge role in my life to compete and work hard at what I do.
VYPE: What will you study in college?
Harvey: I want to study business in college.
VYPE: What makes being a student-athlete at MHS special for you?
Harvey: What I enjoy about being a student-athlete is that we train for the best and my coaches and peers push me forward.
