Mannford High School senior Mason Harvey is a VYPE Top 100 selectee and a returning starter for the Pirates. Last season Harvey averaged 10 points, 5.0 assists and 5.0 rebounds a game.
Harvey said the key to staying on top of his game is consistency.
“Staying constant in the gym, that’s my process for getting better,” Harvey said.
Mannford head coach Mike Banfield said Harvey is a three-year starter and a player who the team will lean on this season.
“He is a kid that can bounce it and shoot it and is a very unselfish player. He is really quick off the bounce and has good body control. We expect him to have a really good senior year,” said Banfield.
The senior also said his mother is a source of inspiration.
“She was strong in her fight against breast cancer,” Harvey said.
In the classroom, Harvey said his favorite teacher is Mrs. Jennifer Wall.
“I felt she truly cared for me,” said Harvey.
